A Rich History
The course is located on grounds involved in the war of 1812. In fact, located at the end of the first hole is Fort Mississauga and its moat (no longer water-filled). Across the water you can see Fort Niagara on the shores of New York State in the USA.
More than 148 years after it was established, the NOTL Golf Course survives in terrific condition, and much of it in its original state. In fact the #1, #2 and #8 green named respectively Straightaway, Mississauga and Cinch have not been changed since the course was built a century and half ago.
